“ My first time to this neighborhood gem last night. Sal welcomes you as though you are family with such honest warmth, and he has great humor also. This alone would want me to go back. A fun party was going on up front thus we sat in the back. Food was superb. Service well, maybe, if I had one comment to improve on, was too attentive to where I thought after 3 tries to get us to order in 10 minutes, we did. I will definitely go back and it might become one of my "go to", and would try those bar seats. ”
“ UPDATE 5 Years later - Sal is amazing, the service is wonderful, the food doesn’t get better and it’s all worth the price! A family favorite I go at least once a month and for special occasions. Food is absolutely amazing! So fresh & such clean flavors! The food is on the pricey side but it is definitely worth it, good atmosphere and very nice waiters. I think it’s a hidden gem that much enough people don’t know about! ”
“ What a great neighbourhood spot! We sat outside and watched the people pass by and as they were waiting for the bus. It was so entertaining! The owner walked around and made sure everyone was happy, which is such a lovely thing to do as it makes you feel at home in his restaurant. We talked to a father and son duo who were also sitting outside and they said the come here at least twice a week because the food is so good. They recommended the pasta and the pork chops. I had the gluten free seafood pasta and the tomato sauce was the best I had in NYC! The wine by the glass was also really delicious. We will definitely be back! ”

“ The food was optimal. Octopus was cooked correctly so it was soft, not chewy. I would have preferred if the crust was crispier though. The zucchini and celery underneath were oily in my opinion, and needed more thoughtful preparation. They have soup of the day which is what my friend got. Her mushroom soup was good but lacked the toppings to make it visually appealing. ”
